Some footage from the Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hougen Sugite Tsura Sugiru TV anime adaptation has been released on YouTube. The show also received a January 2025 premiere date and announcements regarding the opening theme song and cast.
Etsuko Kozakura and Tarusuke Shingaki are joining the cast lineup as Okimemo Shisa and the narrator, respectively. HY is performing the opening song.
Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hougen Sugite Tsura Sugiru is based on the manga by Egumi Sora, which began serialization on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch in 2020. The story is about Teruaki Nakamura, a transfer student who has trouble understanding the Okinawan dialect of his crush, Hina Kyan. Their classmate, Kana Higa, serves as an interpreter for Teruaki.
The manga has eight tankoubon volumes as of February 2024.
