A new key visual and second PV trailer have been revealed for the upcoming Puniru wa Kawaii Slime TV anime series, which will begin broadcasting in Japan on October 6, 2024.
In addition, three new voice cast members are joining the series, which include Risa Shimizu as Mami Kirara, Junya Enoki as Yusuke Nanpa, and Yumiri Hanamori as Alice Okanega.
They join a main cast that stars Yu Sasahara as Puniru and Shuichiro Umeda as Kotaro Kawaii.
Yushi Ibe (Tearmoon Empire) is directing the anime adaptation, with Michiko Yokote (The Dreaming Boy Is a Realist) as series screenwriter, Aya Tanaka (Mushoku Tensei Season 2 sub-character designer) as character designer, and Izumi Mori (Himitsu no AiPri) as music composer. TOHO animation STUDIO is handling the animation production.
The anime is based on the romantic comedy manga series by Maeda-kun. It began serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Corocoro Comic online service on March 15, 2022 and has released five tankobon volumes as of January 2024. The manga originally started as a one-shot in Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic magazine on February 28, 2019.
Puniru wa Kawaii Slime follows the day-to-day life of a young boy named Kotaro, who creates a slime that becomes a beautiful girl named Puniru.
