A fourth season of Rent-a-Girlfriend has been announced to debut sometime in 2025. More details on an exact premiere date and staff changes will be revealed later on.
An announcement video of season four’s announcement was also released, teasing various manga panels from the upcoming “Hawaii Trip” story arc.
An illustration drawn by series creator Reiji Miyajima was also released.


The series’ recent third season premiered in Japan on July 7, 2023 in Japan and ended on September 30, 2023. Une Shinya (Teasing Master Takagi-san assistant director) took over as director for season three instead of the previous seasons’ Kazuomi Koga. Season one and two aired in July 2020 and July 2022, respectively.
Other staff who were involved in season three included Mitsutaka Hirota as series screenwriter, Kanna Hirayama as character designer, and Kenichi Maeyamada/Hyadain as music composer. TMS Entertainment handled the animation production, with assistance from Studio Comet.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main cast includes:

Rent-A-Girlfriend is an adaptation of the romantic comedy manga by Miyajima, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine on July 12, 2017 under the Kodansha Comics label. thirty-six tankobon volumes have been released as of April 2024, with a 37th volume due out on July 17, 2024. Kodansha USA releases the series in English for North America.
The manga inspired a spin-off centered on Sumi titled Kanojo, Hitomishirimasu and a 2022 live-action TV drama.


Crunchyroll is currently streaming all three seasons of the show, and describes the synopsis as:
Kazuya Kinoshita is a 20-year-old failure of a college student. He managed to kiss his girlfriend once, but was dumped after a month.
Completely spiteful, Kazuya uses a certain method to date a girl. He goes to their meeting place and suddenly hears, “You’re Kazuya-kun, right?” A beautiful girl brushing her long, black hair behind her ear was there, smiling at him. Her name was Mizuhara Chizuru.
