A second new teaser visual and trailer have been revealed for the upcoming second season of Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions. The anime’s second season will premiere in October 2024.
The new visual highlights many of the main characters in the series, while the trailer previews Ron’s upcoming cases with the villainous Moriarty family.


Shota Ibata (The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent) is directing season two, with My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU author Wataru Watari (The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent) as series screenwriter, Masakazu Ishikawa (The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent) as character designer, and Yo Tsuji (The Mystic Archives of Dantalian) as music composer. Diomedéa is handling the animation production for the series.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast stars Yohei Azakami as Ron Kamonohashi and Junya Enoki as Totomaru. They are joined by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Mylo Moriarty and Yumiri Hanamori as Winter Moriarty, among other cast members.
The anime is based on the mystery manga series by Akira Amano, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online platform on October 11, 2020. Fourteen tankobon volumes have been released as of June 2024. The manga is also being digitally released in English and Spanish on the Manga PLUS service.
The first season of Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions premiered on October 2, 2023 and aired until December 25, 2023 for a total of 13 episodes.


Crunchyroll is streaming Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions worldwide, outside Japan. It describes the main synopsis as:
Ron Kamonohashi was once regarded as a genius at the top detective training academy. But after a fatal mistake, he was expelled and forbidden to become a detective. Years later, police officer Totomaru Isshiki knocks on Ron’s door seeking help on a serial murder case. He finds Ron, now a messy-haired recluse, who agrees. Together, this mismatched detective team begins solving their first mystery!
