More cast details for the Sakamoto Days anime adaptation have been announced, accompanied by the release of several character trailers.
Joining the cast are Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shin Asakura, Ayane Sakura as Lu Shaotang, Ryota Suzuki as Heisuke Mashimo, Nao Toyama as Aoi Sakamoto, Hina Kino as Hana Sakamoto, and Miyari Nemoto as Pisuke.
The Sakamoto Days anime was announced in May with Tomokazu Sugita as the voice of the titular main character and a January 2025 premiere window. The manga by Yuto Suzuki began in 2020 and has 17 tankoubon volumes as of June 2024. It is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.
Viz Media describes the manga as:
Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He’s running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit…out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can’t refuse: return to the assassin world or die!
