Seven Seas Entertainment has announced limited special edition releases for the first volumes of three danmei/Boys’ Love novels: Run Wild: Sa Ye, Legend of Exorcism, and Dinghai Fusheng Records. These special edition novels were originally released in Chinese and will only be printed once.
As part of the announcement, Seven Seas confirmed that it will make special editions available for volume one of select danmei series.
Here are the details for the special edition danmei releases:
Run Wild: Sa Ye (Novel)
Story: Wu Zhe
This limited edition volume of Run Wild: Sa Ye contains the standard edition of the novel, with bonus merchandise shrink-wrapped to the book. It also features new art from guest artists that is included on a double-sided bookmark, a lined notebook, three polaroids of main characters, and a sticker sheet.
The special edition volume will be released for the first time in the English language in January 2025, as large-trim, illustrated paperback books as part of the Seven Seas Danmei Label. Ebook editions of the standard edition will also be available on digital platforms.
Synopsis:
Seventeen-year-old Jiang Cheng is cast aside by his adoptive parents and sent to a desolate northern town to live with his gambling-obsessed, deadbeat father. Arriving with just a suitcase, a pack of cigarettes, and a looming sense of dread over his uncertain future, he steps off the train and into a bleak, rundown place far from everything he knows. There, he meets Gu Miao, a quiet, troubled girl, and her brother Gu Fei, a boy his age with musical notes shaved into his hair. Disenchanted with life, Jiang Cheng and Gu Fei are reluctant to connect, but fate — and Gu Miao — have other plans.
In this frigid snow-covered town, hope seems frozen in time, yet the unexpected bond between Jiang Cheng and Gu Fei might prove to be the warmth they both desperately need.
Legend of Exorcism (Novel)

Synopsis:
Kong Hongjun has lived his whole life in the mystical Taihang Mountains, a haven for yao, spirits with powerful magical abilities. A half-yao himself, he knows little of the human world until the day the ruler of the mountain instructs him to conceal his identity and descend to the mortal realm. There, he is to join the Great Tang Exorcism Department in the ancient capital of Chang’an.
Upon arrival, Hongjun finds himself under the command of Li Jinglong, a down-on-his-luck general with no magic of his own. Along with his fellow exorcists, a group of enigmatic young men with uncanny abilities, Hongjun and Li Jinglong must work together to protect Chang’an from the evil yao that lurk in its darkest corners. But greater machinations are afoot in the capital — and in order to confront them, Hongjun will have to reveal all of himself to Li Jinglong.
