The opening and ending theme songs for the Tasuketsu: Fate of the Majority TV anime series are now available for streaming worldwide on several music streaming platforms.
The opening theme is “Emperor Time” by Japanese visual kei band VIVARUSH. The band is known for their high-energy performances and style, bringing a powerful rock anthem theme to the anime series. The opening theme can be streamed here.
Meanwhile, the ending theme “GAME OVER” is performed by 23-year-old singer-songwriter Issey, who handles his own lyric writing, composition, arrangement, and mixing. The single is Issey’s first anime theme song. The ending theme can be streamed here.
Tasuketsu first aired in Japan on July 2, 2024 and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll worldwide. It will be broadcasted for two consecutive cours. Satelight is the animation production company for the series.
AnimeJapan ranked the original manga in its annual “Manga We Want to See Animated” rankings, and describes the synopsis as:
One night, nearly all of the humans in town die all at once. Shortly after, high school student Saneatsu, along with the rest of the few remaining humans, receives a message through a monitor from someone calling themselves “Emperor”. Every night from now on, the “missing majority” will be carried out, and the “majority group” of people will die. In other words, at the very least, the remaining human population will be cut in half each night. Can our protagonist survive this game rife with betrayal, conspiracy, and despair?
