The Days With My Step Sister anime adaptation has received a teaser trailer (the official English title calls it an official trailer) previewing the main characters of the story and a heavy, melancholic atmosphere. A teaser visual was also released.
Additionally, it was revealed that CITOCA is the music composer of the show, which is set to premiere in July 2024.
Days With My Step Sister is based on the MF Bunko J light novel series written by Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by Hiten, which began publication in 2021 and has 10 volumes as of January 2024. Yen Press describes the premise as:
After his father remarries, Yuuta suddenly finds himself with a new stepsister: Saki, the greatest beauty at school. Neither of them is sure how to act around the other at first, but the two gradually grow more comfortable living together. Slowly, cautiously, patiently, two strangers become more. So begins an unlikely love story.
The Days with My Step Sister project started as a series of YouTube videos with voiced illustrations (the videos’ cast are reprising their roles for the anime). The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation drawn by Yumika Kanae.
