A new key visual and main PV trailer have been revealed for the second cour of The Fable TV anime series. The ongoing anime first aired in Japan on April 7, 2024 and will broadcast for two consecutive cours of 25 total episodes.
The latest PV trailer for the anime’s second cour also previews the new opening theme “Switch” by UmedaCypher and the ending theme “BEYOND feat. MaRI” by ALI. Both artists performed the opening and ending themes for the first cour.
Four new voice cast members are also joining the series, which include:
- • Shinshū Fuji as Rei Utsubo
- • Chika Anzai as Hinako Saba
- • Takehito Koyasu as Hiroshi Suzuki
- • Yoshihiro Kanemitsu as Tsutomu Isaki
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:
- • Kazuyuki Okitsu as Akira Sato
- • Miyuki Sawashiro as Yoko Sato
- • Kana Hanazawa as Misaki Shimizu
- • Akio Ootsuka as Takeshi Ebihara
- • Kenjiro Tsuda as Kenji Kojima
- • Tetsuo Komura as Boss
- • Jun Fukushima as Jackal Tomioka
Ryosuke Takahashi (Soukou Kihei Votoms: Koei Futatabi) is directing the anime series, with Yuuya Takashima (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury sci-fi researcher) as series screenwriter, and Kyuuma Ooshita (My Home Hero co-chief animation director) and Saki Hasegawa (Aoashi) as character designers. Tezuka Productions is handling the animation production.
Katsuhisa Minami’s comedy thriller manga ran in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine from November 1, 2014 to November 18, 2019. A total of 22 tankobon volumes were released. The first series was followed by The Fable: The Second Contact, which ran from July 19, 2021 to July 10, 2023 for nine total tankobon volumes. The manga also inspired a short story manga collection and a live-action film duology.
