A second season of Unnamed Memory has been announced to premiere in January 2025, shortly after the finale of the anime’s first season. The anime first aired in Japan on April 9, 2024 and broadcasted its 12th and final episode on June 24, 2024.
A new teaser visual and 15-second announcement video featuring Tinasha have also been released, confirming the second season’s production.
Kazuya Miura (Kancolle: Itsuka Ano Umi de) directed the first season, with Deko Akao (My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex) as screenwriter, Chika Nomi (Kancolle: Itsuka Ano Umi de) as character designer, and Akito Matsuda (Assault Lily: Bouquet) as music composer. ENGI is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

The anime is based on the fantasy light novel series written by Kuji Furumiya and illustrated by chibi. The series began as a web novel series on Shosetsuka ni Naro on September 18, 2012, before being published by Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko imprint from January 17, 2019 to April 17, 2021. Six volumes were released in total.
A sequel series titled Unnamed Memory: After the End began publication on February 17, 2022. Four volumes have been released as of April 2024.
Crunchyroll is streaming Unnamed Memory worldwide, outside of Japan. It describes the series as:
Seeking to end a curse thwarting his lineage, Prince Oscar sets out on a quest that leads him to a powerful and beautiful witch, Tinasha, and he demands a unique bargain: marriage.
