Yuri romance Whisper Me A Love Song will begin airing on April 13. A second key visual has been released, and details about its theme songs were also revealed.
The opening song is “Follow your arrows” by the story’s SSGIRLs band, which has Kana Sasakura as the singing voice of the vocalist Yori. The ending song is “Giftee” by Hana Shimano in her role as co-protagonist Himari Kino.
Whisper Me A Love Song adapts the manga by Eku Takeshima, which began serialization in Comic Yuri Hime in 2019 and has eight tankoubon volumes as of July 2023. Kodansha USA describes the plot as:
Bubbly, energetic first-year high school student Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori she just loves her, and, to Himari’s surprise, Yori says she loves Himari back! But when Himari realizes that she and her senpai are feeling two different kinds of love, she begins to ask herself what “love” really means…
The anime was originally supposed to begin airing in January but was delayed due to “various circumstances.” Following the delay, the credits were changed so that Yokohama Animation Lab went from being the animation production supervisor to sharing animation production credits with CLOUDHEARTS. Additionally, Akira Mano (Ghost Hunt, Gunslinger Girl: -Il Teatrino-) replaced Xinya Cai (The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt assistant director) as director, with an official statement saying that Cai’s health was the reason for the change.
