The Ya Boy Kongming! anime compilation film, Ya Boy Kongming! Road to Summer Sonia, has received another trailer. The new promotional video features the movie’s theme song, “Resonance,” and also previews some of the new performance cuts that will be in it.
Ya Boy Kongming! Road to Summer Sonia will premiere in Japanese theaters on March 1. The anime series aired in 2022 and was streamed by HIDIVE and Bilibili. The show is based on the Kodansha-published manga series by Yuuto Yotsuba and Ryou Ogawa, which began serialization in 2019 and has 16 tankoubon volumes as of January 2024.

General of the Three Kingdoms, Kongming had struggled his whole life, facing countless battles that made him into the accomplished strategist he was. So on his deathbed, he wished only to be reborn into a peaceful world…and was sent straight to modern-day party-central, Tokyo! Can even a brilliant strategist like Kongming adapt to the wild beats and even wilder party people?!
The Ya Boy Kongming! manga debuted on the Comic Days app/website but is now running in Weekly Young Magazine. A live-action drama adaptation aired last year.
